can't run chat thru firewall

Hello, has anyone figured out how to make a chat session like ICQ's =
work through Linux fire wall?=20
My configuration is that I am dialing into my Linux box via PPP and =
then through the firewall to the Internet. I am having problems with =
Chat both to and from the Internet and Direct from one PPP connection to =
another PPP connection on the same Linux Box. When I am not using the =
fire wall it works fine.=20
Thanks alot for any help. I'm using the ipfwadm firewall program to do =
the firewalling.
