Accept remote printing?

Hi,

I'm trying to print from my AS/400 to my Linux box, but evidently I'm
doing something wrong. I have no problems printing directly to an HP with
JetDirect card.

I don't see any messages on the Linux box, and I don't see any unusualy
messages on the AS/400.

Do I have to give some sort of authority to the AS/400 from Linux in order
to connect and use LPD? Is what I'm doing even possible?

Any and all help greatly appreciated.....

Here's the quick and dirty from the AS/400:
Output queue . . . . . . . . . . > TCP_OUTQ Name
Order of files on queue . . . . *FIFO *FIFO, *JOBNBR
Remote system . . . . . . . . . > SNOOPY2.SMH.SCMC.COM
Remote printer queue . . . . . . > ASCII
^^^^^
I chose the above from an entry in my /etc/printcap
ascii|lp1|laserjet-letter-ascii-mono|laserjet ascii mono:\

Writers to autostart . . . . . . > 2 1-10, *NONE
Host print transform . . . . . . *YES *YES, *NO
Manufacturer type and model . . *IBM42011

Best Regards,
Tim
