Sendmail Configuration

I have a problem configuring sendmail, this is the setup of my network:
i have a 386 with ip-masquerading enabled and connected to the
internet
using a modem, when connected this computer has to ip one for
the ppp
interface and one for the eth0 (192.168.0.1)
two more computers (pentiums) one running linux and another one
running
windows (the ips are 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.3)

in the pentium that i am running linux i have the sendmail,
these are the
changes i made in it (the sendmail version is: 8.8.5-1, that
came with a
debian distribution ):

sendmail.cf
Fw/etc/mail/sendmail.cw
DMHelios.Manhattan
DS

sendmail.cw
helios
helios.org

and this is in my /etc/hosts file
192.168.0.2 helios.org helios www.helios.org
helios.manhattan

the problem is that i can't get the elm to send a mail to any
other host,
the only way i can get this is by using the netscape messenger.
