I'm having a slight problem with my 3c575 cardbus PCMCIA card. The driver
loads fine, and everything gets initialized properly. The problem is that
it doesn't want to drop down to 10mb, and instead lights the 100mb link
light. Hey, that's great, if the hub I was connecting to would allow it.
Since it doesn't, and the card (or driver) doesn't want to bump it down,
is there a command I can give the module that will force it? I assume it
is the driver, since the card properly reads the speed under Gates'
infernal OS, but I'd like not to have to use that anymore :>
I'm sorry for posting a mail without all the proper information, such as
the version from the 3c575_cb.c file, pcmcia package, etc., but I've not
been to bed yet today and wanted to write this before I forgot *grin*. If
this information is necessary just say the word, it'll be after I've
napped a few hours and won't mind breaking out the laptop to check it all
out.
As an aside, I did see in the source file that it appears the module takes
a "options" line, however nowhere does it seem to say what options are
valid, and in what order (I know some cards are like base,irq,etc..., I
didn't see a format to the line, just that it appears to be read in)
