I installed (RPM'd) the samba RPM ...I restarted and cannot find smbmount or smbunmount

am i doing something wrong?

i assumed that running rpm and restarting added it to the kernel--as well as placing those commands (programs) somewhere...sbin? bin?

Sorry...a newbie learning linux and trying --

HI,

You ain't run into a large problem, really.

Use SMB filesystem.

You can enable SMBFS in kernel,
get smbmount/smbumount utils,
and just be happy :-)
