I noticed that when I upgraded from linux 1.2.13 to 2.0.30, I got a
message in syslog saying CRACK ATTEMPT using IMAP.

I now assume that a hacker was having fun on my old 1.2.13 system via
IMAP.

So, I also leave it off in inetd.conf.
