Large Domain Name registration

Hello everybody,
I would like to get a domain name with 4/5 hosts
(www,ftp,ns1,ns2,pop,smtp,etc). We're planning virtual hosting depending on our
departments (registration at the INTERNIC on our DNS servers).
What are the things to do ? is there any difference with a "normal"
registration like www.foo.com ?
