TCP hangs with 2.0.34pre16

I install 2.0.34pre16 yesterday, but am still getting TCP hang-ups. We have a Win95 PC that hangs accessing our web server (but no others), and we have threads in our web server that lock up when they are acting as clients to other sites. This time a server thread got stuck in tcp_recvmsg. It was talking to another web server. It will stay like this until we restart the server.

[london /home/nsadmin2/log]$ ps auxl
FLAGS UID PID PPID PRI NI SIZE RSS WCHAN STA TTY TIME COMMAND
100040 502 1163 1145 10 10 8836 7168 tcp_recvmsg S N ? 0:49 /home/nsadmin2/bin/nsd2 -ic /home/nsadmin2/nsd.ini -b4

We're using a 3Com 3c509 card in this machine, but have had the problem with other machines that have 3c503, 3c590. I ordered 2 Kingston cards today on the off chance that this is contributing to the problem.

I've had weird hang problems on all my Linux machines since RedHat 4.2, and all used 3Com cards. Anybody have any clues or can give me some advice on how to track down the problem?

THanks,
Jim
