good day linux users!

we have about 30+ XTs on a computer laboratory that is not often used by
students and we want to connect them to a linux box running Slackware96.

we have two options on how to connect them to the linux box:

1. boot ROM
2. startup diskette

if we are to use the boot ROM of the NICs, what should we run on the linux
box? if we are to use a startup diskette, how should we create it? any
suggestions?

here is the setup:
==================

[workstation1] ----
| 192.168.2.2 192.168.2.1/202.47.133.46
[workstation2] ----+------[irmac]-------------[linux1]-------> to the net
|
[workstation3] ----+
.
.
.

how would i configure [irmac] so that when a [workstation#] logs in, it
will authenticate via [linux1]?

tia!
