IPX 10Base-T net.

I'm trying to run a 10Base-T IPX net at my house with crossover RJ-45
cables. I've got three Intel Express cards in my linux box with one
dos/win box connected to each card. I can send packets from my dos
boxes to the linux box and my "/proc/net/dev" file shows that I'm
receiving the packets. My problem is the routing. I'm running the IPXd
that I downloaded from sunsite.unc.edu. I keep trying to run a net game
(Rise of the Triad, doom, etc) and I show that I'm receiving the packets
at my server but the game never finds the other players.
I'm trying to use this setup because I got all the cards for free. I
know it would be MUCH easier to buy a hub, but I don't have the money.
Please I've been told by half the linux-using world that I need to buy a
hub but I really want to just get this setup working. Could you tell me
what I need to do or if I need to rearrange my hardware or what? Please
go step by step from the beggining setup of the cards to make sure I'm
setup right. Sorry I'm a REAL newbie to networking :-(
thanx in advance
