I've had trouble with the 3c900 locking up... I've got a watchdog program
that looks for 60 second periods and ifconfig eth0 down ... ifconfig eth0
up when it happens (it's a busy box with several programs spitting out
pings at 10 second intervals)... There's been a tiny change to the driver
(increasing a timeout if I'm not mistaken) since I built that kernel, but
given the "hard" nature of the lockup, I don't expect it to be the silver
bullet... I'm looking for recommendations on a good PCI ethernet card ...
I'm not running 100BT so that capability is a moot point.
(2.0.25 system, BusLogic SCSI, redhat 3.0.3 build, P166/80 meg RAM)
