Driver for PCMCIA etherlink III

Hello all.
I am trying to install linux on a Dell Latitude laptop with a PCMCIA
3com etherlink III ethernet card. But the boot/root disk (I am using a
boot disk with networking added) doesn't seem to like the card. I need
to have networking because I want to install over NFS. Is there
something tricky I need to do to get a working boot/install floppy set
so that I can install Linux on the laptop over NFS?
