Need to setup Linux on a client's machine, which is a HP Vectra P5-133M
with a built-in PCI ethernet adapter. I could not find any technical specs
for the adapter.
The Vectras use an AMD 79C970 in a bus-mastering-capable
configuration. So, when configuring, answer "Y" to the question for
"AMD Lance and PCnet (AT1500 and NE2100) support?" and then answer "Y"
again to "AMD PCInet32 (VLB and PCI) support."
Last time I FTPed something, I got 1033 KB/sec out of a 10baseT cable,
so the interface works pretty well. :-)
No, there's nothing else you need to configure for the Vectras, except
for X windows (the Vectra Xm4 5/133 needs the S3 X-server).
