I did break out my copy of O'Reilly tcp/ip admin, and found the setup to
be very straightforward, and rather easy. I had assumed there was more
involved in the configuration. So, I now have two nameservers running
flawlessly.
One thing did escape me, at first on nslookup I was returning:
Non-Authoritive Anwer
and the proper address, just kept getting that line. I really didn't
pay much attention to it, but I tweaked the configuration a bit more
at a different time. Later this line had gone away in the nslookup.
Why? Did it just go away on hosts that had been queried before because
they are cached? Will it come back? What might I have done to stop
its appearance??
It works, so the above questions are just to satisfy curiousity, and
if I don't hear from any of you, I will still be reading along...
