I'm certainly glad all is well for you, but I STILL can't get
it to run w/ Java support. It STILL claims that it can't find
java_301 in my CLASSPATH. Here's my script:
#/bin/sh
export CLASSPATH="/usr/local/netscape/java/classes/java_301:."
export LD_PRELOAD="/lib/gnumalloc.so"
/netscape/netscape $*
(second line, I'm assuming that ends with a colon, period, then
quotes)
I've copied the gnumalloc.so to the /lib directory
I've copied the java_301 to /usr/local/netscape/java/classes
I haven't changed permissions on ANYTHING.
I'm installing and running as root.
Netscape RUNS, but this is the error that I get when I try to
view a Java applet:
Unable to start a java applet: Can't find "java_301" in your
CLASSPATH. Read the release notes and install "java_301" properly
before restarting.
Current value of CLASSPATH:
/usr/local/lib/netscape/plugins:root/.netscape/plugins:/usr/local/netscape/java/classes/java_301:/
Any ideas ??
