Was it this many before? 30% is a lot under any circumstances.

Even if you have compiled Nagle into the kernel (which you apparently
have, which in general is good) it is possible to disable it, I remember
reading that somewhere, in the PPP-HOWTO or SLIP-HOWTO I think. I am not
sure of the user level at which this needs to be done, it may require root
privledges, raw C functions, things like that. I would hazard a guess
that there is some way to make certrain sockets behave in certain ways if
you really want to without recompiling much stuff if anything. Good luck.
