They are combo cards, but you can't configure this. They find out
themselves which one to use. (It even appears as if this worked ;-)
The problem was another one, very simple: The diagnostics program is
broken. If I run Linux on both machines they work just fine.
Thanks to Jason who pointed me to this possibility, and of course thanks
to everyone else who replied or was going to reply with another
suggestion!
