I have a delima that I'm tring to overcome and any/all help into this matter would be greatly appreciated. First let me say that I am fair with my Linux skills, the key word being FAIR. I am not a UNIX specialist YET! :-)
My delima starts with Linux and 100mb ethernet. I currently have our office connected to our provider with a 28.8 deticated modem. I run kernel 1.3.1 on a 486dx4-100 with 12 megs of RAM this is an ISA/VLB Motherboard (No PCI). I have a 10mb and 100mb backbone currently. My 10mb can get out fine with its class C but the 100mb and it's class C cann't make it past our provider. The linux box only has a 10mb Ethernet Card and our Novell 4.1 Server has both a 10mb and a 100mb. The Novell Server is running TCP/IP with the forward option on. I run gated on the Linux Box and think the routes are all set. I guess the question I need answered would be is there a 100mb card that 1.3.1 supports? If not anyone have an idea of a work around?
Thanks in advance for all help. . . . .
