bluetooth socket problem

Hi ,
    On my Linux  machine , the instruction
        s  =  socket( AF_BLUETOOTH , SOCK_STREAM , BTPROTO_RFCOMM ) ;
     gave  me  
                s  =  -1  

    What was the problem ?
