if you comapre iph->saddr and iph->daddr they should differ
because ICMP works with the embedded header which is reversed.

I'm not sure your example works in 2.4. 2.4 has checks
to require embedded iphdr plus 8 bytes. But now when 2.2.23rc*
appear may be you can send fix for 2.2 to Alan Cox after fixing
your app and testing it.

Alexey, can you confirm that 2.2 wants this fix
