Well there is "Linux Core Kernel commentary" book. It really was not what
I expected out of it but there are few useful things one can learn from
it.

book that I am waiting for is "Linux IP Stacks Commentary" but since it
has been postponed 3 times now I'm not really holding my breath anymore.

also Linux Device Drivers is decent book but sadly bit outdated (errata
by AC & something are available @O'Reilly)
