tlan problem...

I compiled the tlan (v1.0) support in the kernel of a machine
i try to hook up to a 100mbit switch (100MB/Full Duplex).

Now comes...

It lookes like the nic will not run at 100/FD at al!
(the nic supports it as far as i can see)

(TLAN 1.0:eth2 irq=15 io=f8f0,Compaq Netelligent 10/100TX PCI UTP,Rev16)

But when i set the switch to ONLY do 100/FD for this nic, i get a lot of
errors on that nic's port. performance suck. When i set the switch to AUTO
the card goes to 10/HD ( any other switch setting also gets a lot of
errors!(10FD/100HD/100FD) only 10HD looks to work fine.

It's no io/irq conflict (machine uses NO IDE (only scsi) at other irq's)

I tried setting the 3rd & 4th parameters in the lilo conf,
maybe i do something wrong overhere.... I got a little confused when
submitting these entry's in my lilo.conf ( i already use some
ether= parameters in the append field since this machine uses 3 nic's by
now.)

(old parm's)
append="ether=7,0x3000,eth0 ether=5,0x4000,eth1 ether=15,0xf8f0,eth2"

When i submit these, and reboot the machine... it looks like the
card try's to autodetect the network speed. But when i force the switch
to anything else but 10/HD i get loads of errors.

when i added the 3rd & 4th parm's to the ether=15,0xf8f0 entry (the tlan
card) 0x20,0x01 the autodetection FAILS ( i only get a link when i set
the switch to 10/HD!

Maybe anybody knows something?
i'm out of options ;)

the machine still runs kernel 2.0.36, and before i can upgrade this
machine i need to backup a LOT of data from it. And this can take quite
some time on 10mbit ;-(

Oke, kind regards.
And a G00D 2K! for anybody who's reading this!
