I've been using the VFAT filesystem for a while now, and just came across
a problem which most definitely did not occur with 2.2.0-pre8. This kernel
is currently 2.2.0-fine.
Here's some sample output:
tahallah[alex]:/win95/test > dir
total 32
8 drwxrwx--- 2 root msdos 8192 Jan 22 21:34 .
16 drwxrwx--- 13 root msdos 16384 Jan 22 21:34 ..
8 -rw-rw---- 1 root msdos 111 Jan 22 21:34 autoexec.bat
tahallah[alex]:/win95/test > mv autoexec.bat testing.bat
mv: cannot move `autoexec.bat' to `testing.bat': No such file or directory
tahallah[alex]:/win95/test > dir

Odd, that. Here's the mount options for this filesystem (gid=msdos)
/dev/hda2 on /win95 type vfat (rw,noexec,gid=101,umask=007,quiet)
Cheers,
Alex
