I've finally got everything to compile (after struggling with about 5
erros at the very end of the make), installed the kernel and system map,
lilo'd and rebooted.
Then I try the following:
deathstar:/usr/src/linux-2.0.27 # insmod ppa
gcc2_compiled.: wrong version
ppa_port_delay: wrong version
ppa_done: wrong version
ppa_info_string: wrong version
Failed to load module! The symbols from kernel 2.0.27 don't match 2.0.27
and
deathstar:/usr/src/linux-2.0.27 # insmod lp
gcc2_compiled.: wrong version
Failed to load module! The symbols from kernel 2.0.27 don't match 2.0.27
The system is a P5-133, 32 MB RAM, NCR53c825 SCSI controller. gcc is
2.7.2. Can anybody tell me what is wrong? Are my modutils too old?
