got them while running X + the new Acrobat reader from Adobe. Admittedly
this is quite a low-end machine: 33 MHz 486, 8MB RAM.
The messages are not from the networking stack, there is no increase in
the number of dropped packets. The machine has most of its filesystems on
an IDE drive, and is swapping to an AHA1542 host SCSI drive.
if this is of any interest i can mail the rest of the config and i can do
further testing too.
