2.0.20 and swap corruption.

I have had 2.0.20 in operation for 4 days now with no problems. Last
night, during a download, I got the following:

hdc: read_intr: status=0x59 { DriveReady SeekComplete DataRequest Error }
hdc: read_intr: error=0x04 { DriveStatusError }
above repeats 3 more times
ide1: reset: success

The only partition of the c device that was involved at the time was a 90
meg swap partition.
I got similar problems with 2.0.19, however, they cropped up right away
and quickly scrogged the swap partition. So far, it seems the swap
partition is still usable, although I have no clear way to determine that
except that the machine still chuggs along.
I believe that I have the CMD640 chip (because those fixes seem to effect
my machine) but have no way of determining the truth of this.
Any help or pointers will be greatly appreciated.
